Waxing is a form of exfoliation. Along with the hair, dead skin cells will be removed during the wax.
WHEN HAIR DOES GROW BACK ITS THINNER
This occurs because hair is being removed at the root, which weakens the hair. Constant waxing over time can even cause it to stop growing all together. So when it’s “that” time again, the hair regrowth will be finer and softer, not rough and coarse as with shaving. Often it is also lighter meaning you can go longer in between wax appointments. Removing body hair by waxing is becoming so popular that men are getting their bodies waxed in increasing numbers.
We all know how important it is to shape your eyebrows to frame your face. While there is the option of tweezing , having them waxed by a professional will make a difference in definition because waxing is so precise.
NO SKIN IRRITATION
With shaving, skin can become red and irritated from constant razor strokes. Shaving only removes hair at the surface. Within a few days, the hair can be seen at the surface again. This method causes hair to grow back in a rough stubble. The downside to shaving is redness, stubble and cuts. Waxing, when done correctly, is practically pain free and any redness or irritation will not last long.
NO SKIN DAMAGE
In contrast to other methods of hair removal like hair-removing creams and shaving, waxing does not cause cuts, skin discoloration, or chemical burns. No harsh chemicals are present in wax, so the skin is saved from their damaging effects.
CARE AND CAUTION WHILE WAXING
Do not expose yourself to direct sunlight in the 24 hours before or after waxing and avoid wearing tight clothing if having a Brazilian wax. Also avoid hot baths, use of fragrant creams and lotions, and especially body scrubs for the 24 hours after waxing. Some people may get redness, bumps or minor skin irritation after waxing, it usually subsides within a few hours.
If you are receiving chemical peels, microderm treatments, are using Vitamin A creams, or are using medications such as Differin, Retin A, or Isoretinoin, it is strongly recommended that you do not wax. These treatments and medications thin the skin and make it more prone to tearing when the wax is removed. Do not wax irritated, broken or chapped skin.
If you want to enjoy the sensation, attention and admiration that a silky smooth, hairless and glowing skin inevitably attracts, waxing would be just the way to achieve it. Easily, instantly and long lasting. So, Ladies and Gentlemen…. Happy Waxing!
